Our (Darryl and Corinne’s) deepest condolences to the Hoyle family. Despite only knowing Roger for a short while, it was an honour to finally meet him in person when he married Diane (Corinne’s sister). When Diane was not in the UK and would be out and about with us in South Africa, or in the United Arab Emirates, we always had Rogers genial personality following us and sharing our experiences via WhatsApp. The few days in Leeds we had the chance to visit in person and attend the wedding, one could see that Roger was a gentle giant of a man who doted upon Diane. They definitely were made for each other. Strength to you Diane as well as Rogers sons Matt, Gareth and stepson Mark. Roger was taken too soon, and as our new brother-in-law, I had looked forward to sharing our past police experiences. This was not to be. RIP Roger.
